Paul's
love of music started at 8 when he heard the sounds of
the 70's. He began running live sound for local artists
out of the back of his 86' Isuzu Trooper (which, by the
way, still runs!). The first incarnation of Tree Sound
was built in his parent's basement, which he quickly outgrew.
He then built a studio inside a local music school, where
he became a teacher. When space again became an issue,
Paul began his search for a new building. He happened
upon an old printing plant in Norcross Georgia and through
his inspired vision and unrelenting determination, Tree
Sound Studios was reborn. Working in tandem with renowned
studio designer George Augsperger, the design was created
and implemented with artistry and precision. Since then,
Paul has expanded the facility to include three unique
studios and a killer live soundstage. A self proclaimed
"gear hound" Paul has outfitted his studios with the best
audio equipment available and is vigilant to insure the
quality that is Tree Sound Studios. He is an avid adventurist
and his interests include full tilt rock & ice climbing,
snow boarding, white water rafting, scuba diving (with
sharks, by the way!), sky diving, and he is also an expert
marksman. His adventureous spirit fills Tree Sound Studios
with what our clients call "the coolest vibe around".
His focus is always on the music, and he is a staunch
advocate of artist's rights.

Growing up in the hills of Southern Arizona on the Mexican border, Sunshine brings her rustic, "off the grid" upbringing to Tree Sound.
"My dream is to educate and spread the word of sustainable living to the world through Tree in any way that I can. After building our solar powered log cabin in the interior of Alaska and converting our home to alternative power here in N. Georgia, Paul and I plan to turn Tree into a place where people can learn not just about how to make great music. We want to share with others about how we can make a "green" difference on an individual, consumer and business level.
Be it teaching someone to recycle, planting a tree or a garden, enjoying a meal together, or fabulous music and good vibes, we all make a difference! We only need to know that there is abundance in the Wind, the Earth and Water and the Sun and this journey we call Life is precious! We must seize the moment and give it all we can. Let's follow our dreams, help others and Breathe…"
Namaste.

At two years old Taryn received her first record player, and with one spin of Elton John’s “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues”, her love for music was born. After immersing herself in the arts throughout her childhood, she graduated from Full Sail with a degree in Recording Engineering in November of 2001. She immediately moved to Atlanta after accepting an internship with Tree Sound Studios. She was then hired as an Assistant Engineer and ultimately became the Studio Manager's assistant. In 2004 Taryn moved into Artist Management landing a job working for Russell Carter, and learned more than she ever dreamed of about the music business. Being a songwriter, however, her roots were firmly planted in the idea of focusing on the music - the seed by which the very foundation of the business exists. So two years later she came back to manage Tree Sound and brought her knowledge of the recording process as well as her experience with production coordination. Taryn’s position affords her the best of both worlds. In fact, it is her dream come true.
“Tree Sound is a very special place. The vibe that Paul and Sunshine have created in the building, their mission of sustainability and education, the wonderful energy of the people that work so hard within these walls to make such great sounding records for the world to hear…it’s the best possible scenario. No one’s supposed to have this much fun at work!”

Miguel moved to Atlanta in 1986 from Denver, Colorado. His decision to enter the music industry came early, at 13 years old.
That's the age when he heard his first Jimi Hendrix record, and from there music became the focus of his life.
He started playing the guitar at 15, and a few years later began DJing and producing Drum & Bass around Atlanta.
In 2005 he attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona.
To complete his degree, he interned at Electric Lady Studios in NYC. Then in January of 2006, Miguel found his way to
Tree where he began as an intern, quickly became our most requested Assistant, and now Engineers and Produces for some of our biggest clients.
Miguel recently earned a Grammy nomination for his engineering work on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III.
