The instructors for private lessons are all studio musicians who have worked with a wide variety of artists at Tree Sound. We have classes ranging from beginner, intermediate, to advanced. Whichever stage of playing you are in, we can help take you to the next level.

 

Vocal Coaching:

Our Vocal Coaching will to take you to the next level in your vocal stylings as well as teach you how to deliver top quality vocals in a live setting. It will also teach you to set up the microphone for profesional recording purposes. Our teachers are trained to teach you the does and dont's concerning your vocal instrument that will, not only take you far in your entretainment career, but will keep your vocal instrument safe and strong in the process.

The Tree Sound Studios vocal training staff are composers not only to the stars but to you, our comunity of upcoming enternaiers. Our professional staff will work one on one with you to bring out the best in your voice for a top quality live performance &/or recording .

DJ Class:

This class focuses on all aspects of DJing, with a focus on sonic quality, gain staging, and troubleshooting. The student will learn how to: properly setup the equipment in a professional “club” scenario; how to be sure that they are getting the proper levels on each of the gain stages, eliminating feedback, distortions, and damaged equipment; how to properly operate and maintain equipment; how to recognize signal flow and troubleshoot quickly, as well as mixing and scratching instruction. This class is for all beginning to intermediate dj’s, any type of music, any type of rig.

 

 

Teachers / Styles:

Josh Thane (guitar) is the current house session guitarist for Tree Sound Studios and Tree Leaf Music. He has studied many styles ranging from rock, jazz, soul, country, bluegrass, funk, pop and other contemporary styles. He currently works playing on sessions when guitar is needed and has had to opportunity to work with a number of artists including Usher, James "Groove" Chambers, Deezle (Producer), Laura Reed and Deep Pocket, Bobby Lee Rodgers, Mickey Facts, Animal (producer), and many others.

Dave Aiken (guitar) has a strong understanding of the mechanic of a guitar. If you want to truly understand how to become your own guitarist with an individual style then Dave is the right teacher for you. With a strong understanding of music theory, melody, harmonic structure, and improvisation Dave teaches both electric guitar as well as classical and flamenco guitar for both beginner and intermediate.

Ben Didelot (bass) Some of the styles Ben has picked up along the way include: soul, R&B, hip hop, funk, rock, reggae, bluegrass, country, and world music. Classes would cover topics such as; technique, warming up, basic theory, scales, chords, support role, studio etiquette, tone.
