Miguel Scott Miguel moved to Atlanta in 1986 from Denver, Colorado. His decision to enter the music industry came early, at 13 years old. That's when he heard his first Jimi Hendrix record, “Electric Lady Land”, and from there music became the focus of his life. He started playing the guitar at 15, and a few years later began DJing and producing Drum & Bass around Atlanta. In 2005 he attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe, Arizona. To complete his degree, he interned at Electric Lady Studios in NYC. Then in January of 2006, Miguel found his way to Tree where he began as an intern, quickly became our most requested Assistant, and now Engineers and Produces for some of our biggest clients. Miguel recently earned a Grammy nomination for his engineering work on Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III. Ryan Hobbs Orginally from Michigan, Ryan Hobbs moved to Atlanta in 2005, and began work at Tree Sound soon after. He graduated from the College of Telecommunications at Ohio University with a degree emphasis in Audio Production. For several years he worked as a freelance recording engineer in Michigan while also playing guitar in bands of his own. For a short time he worked as a guitar setup and repair technician as well, learning from great luthiers such as Abe Wechter and Tim Scheerhorn. Besides music and luthiery, Ryan has always pursued many other interests including electronics, web and graphic design, videography, and computers. Ryan is an Engineer and Studio Tech at Tree Sound and has worked with a myriad of artists in all genres. He is sought for his skills not only as a Tracking and Mixing Engineer, but also in live sound and as a Mastering Engineer.

Chad McCune Chad found his love for music through the underground scene in atlanta. Frequenting local spots and free forums. Watching the way music brought people together finalized the decision that this is what he wanted to focus on. He started producing electronic and hip hop at age 19. He then decided to take the next step by obtaining a degree from Full Sail in 2006. He started working for Tree Sound in September of 2006. Here is were his love for music grew. "There is a chance to learn so much inside these walls, the staff as well as the clients are like family to me here and have help me advance to where i want to be." Chad has worked in all styles of music from Akon to Cartel. Motown artist Ike Stubblefield and many great local bands.

Nick Lanzner Nick grew up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. A huge music lover, Nick discovered his talent for music production/ engineering when he began playing bass guitar in band in the late 90’s. He then learned how to use sequencers and basic recording programs and started making his own music. From that moment he was consumed and became a self taught independent contractor producing and selling music. Nick moved to Atlanta in 2005 and decided to enhance his knowledge and enrolled in the Pro Tools Digi Design Certification Program at Stankonia Studios. Upon completion, he was accepted into the Internship program at Tree Sound Studios. Nick moved into an Assistant Engineer position and on to Engineer/ Producer and has recently been promoted to Studio Staff Manager. Some Tree Sound clients that Nick has worked with include: Asst. Blake Harden As soon as Blake set foot in Atlanta in March 2005, he knew he was in the right place, doing the right thing. Having 7 years of professional DJ experience, high school punk bands, elementary school trumpet lessons, and a lifetime of listening and loving music, Atlanta is where he knew his weird affinity would flourish. Right off the bat, he began recording hip hop group The LIUNS Den, as well as assisting producers Justin Ellington and Bangladesh. In 2006, he began doing live sound at Smith’s Olde Bar and went on national tours with live electronic act Elemental Harmonics, doing Front of House and multi-track recording. By 2007, Blake had built an effective network around Atlanta and took the next step by becoming an intern at Tree Sound Studios. Since then, he has worked his way through the ranks, become a lead engineer, and has had the opportunity to work with some of the most successful and knowledgeable people in the music industry. “I’m just blessed to be able to work on a wide variety of quality music, on great gear, in the best studio in Atlanta."

Andrew "Drew" Moses Drew comes out of a small town near Detroit Mi. After discovering a deep love for electronic music in the underground Detroit Electronic scene of the mid to late nineties he decided music was the biz of his choice.

Ian Blanton Ian was born in Rome, Georgia in 1986 where his love of music began when he learned to play the trumpet in elementary school. A couple of years later he was playing tuba/sousaphone in his middle school concert/marching band, and guitar in his middle school jazz band. By the time Ian was in high school he was working with several local rock bands; playing live shows, and creating/recording original material. After graduating high school he moved to Atlanta to start classes at Georgia State University. In 2008 he attended SAE Institute of Technology and graduated a year later with an Associate of Science degree in Audio Technology. Ian began his internship at Tree in 2009, after completing his first round of classes at SAE, and since then he has been assisting and engineering a growing number of sessions at Tree as well as hitting the road with Tree Power and Sound. Ian has worked with artists such as Shanell, Toni Braxton, Col. Bruce Hampton, Corey Cato, Michael Tolcher, and B.o.B. just to name a few.

Jonathan Pilgrim Jonathan is a 21 year old singer/songwriter from Dallas, TX. He grew up singing and has recieved formal voice training since age 11. He was a 4 year member of the Texas All-State Choir in high school, and studied three years of vocal performance/ music education at Baylor University before moving to Atlanta to pursue a career in commercial music. He has been writing music since age 17, and is experienced in singing in many genres. He has won various talent competitions in the Dallas area, and competed/anvanced to hollywood in American Idol. Jonathan writes/records at Tree both on his own and other artists' music at the studio. He will be teaching lessons in voice, as well as basic songwriting, which will include fundamentals in music theory and ear training, sightreading, and musicianship.

Dave Aiken Dave began playing guitar at the age of fourteen. Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and the blues artists of the ages Dave began learning how to play. Within one year Dave formed his first band playing blues songs with his good friend on bass. Learning the ins and outs of improvisation and soulful expression, this was only the beginning of a long career in music. Soon, within a year, Dave formed his second band, The Crooked Toms, playing blues inspired jams with a fusion of Funk and jazz. The Crooked Toms went on to open for many artists in the Atlanta circuit, drawing crowds from all around and winning battle of the band competitions. Dave Has played in many bands since then keeping the roots of blues and fusion music and a complimentary improvisational style.

Ben Didelot Ben picked up his first guitar at the age of 11. Craving more low end, he later gave the bass guitar a try and the rest was history. After gigging with a few local bands in college, Didelot co-founded the band Laura Reed & Deep Pocket, a Soul/R&B act based out of the southeast. He toured internationally for a few years with the band before it broke up, and now he resides in Atlanta, GA playing bass for the house band at Tree Sound Studios.

Josh Thane Josh first began his musical journey playing trumpet at the young age of 11. It didn’t take long for him to realize his talent for stringed instruments, beginning with guitar then quickly moving on to slide guitar, banjo, mandolin and lap steel as well. After realizing his passion for music he took on an apprenticeship at a local recording studio in high school and became absorbed in the recording world. Josh went on to study recording and production while continuing his musical education in jazz at Appalachian State University. After graduation Josh made his way back to his native city of Atlanta where he began his internship at Tree Sound Studios. Since then he has gone on to work with a number of artists involved with Tree Sound and continues to help write, engineer, produce and play with various other Tree Leaf artists. |

Levi Shrewsbury A native of Mooresville, NC, Levi began his musical life playing trumpet in middle and highschool concert band. Growing up listening to guitar virtuosos like Randy Rhoads, David Gilmore, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Alex Lifeson; he pawned his trumpet for an electric guitar. He would go on to incorporate numerous styles in his playing ranging from the moody blues to searing progressive rock. After highschool,Levi began playing with musicians in the Lake Norman/Charlotte area finding himself as a musician and songwriter. He has since relocated to Atlanta, GA receiving a degree in Audio Technology from SAE Institute of Atlanta and currently doing guitar work for local production companies in the Atlanta area as well as sound engineering at Treesound Studios. |
